Pasta Arrabiata is an Italian classic with pasta in a simple tomato sauce with garlic, olive oil and dried chili. It is typically made with whole crushed tomatoes for maximum flavor. Make a large portion while you're at it, and save leftovers in small containers in the freezer.

Instructions
Step 1/7
Peel and chop garlic.
Step 2/7
Heat olive oil in a pot, add garlic and chili flakes, and sauté for 1 minute, without browning.

Add crushed tomatoes and tomato paste, bring the pot to a boil, and let it simmer for 30 minutes.
Step 4/7
Crush the tomatoes with a wooden spoon along the way.
Step 5/7
Pick and chop basil, and fold it into the sauce.
Step 6/7
Taste and adjust with sugar, salt and pepper.
Step 7/7
Serve with pasta and grated parmesan.
